Sleeping in the closet

Lace was a quiet boy, he never said much in class and only spoke when spoken too. Even then he didn't say much. This was never a bother to him. A lack of friends was of no concern to Lace, his strange beauty and mysterious nature drew plenty of attention from other students. Which could be bothersome, but he found ways to avoid it. He went into the Gym storage room to eat lunch, one day however, he fell asleep. He fell into such a deep sleep that he slept through class and until the end of volley ball practice. He managed to hide from the sight of the club members, though not on purpose until someone came in and saw him.

"I am! I am in great shape! Just look, I can give you a piggy back ride all the way back home!" Lev offered, looking to the side. "And I'll be running all the time, too! I'm the ace after all..."

Lace patted Lev on the head before he started walking home with him back to the lofts only this time, he was holding his hand. It was dark enough to hide the small show of affection but that didn't matter. "We'll...keep practicing...."

"Thanks, Lace...it means a lot to me. So do...so do you," Lev whispered and leaned in, gazing into his eyes. "You know what? I've never kissed someone before...I wonder if I'm ace kisser as well."

Lace didn't realize that Lev would be so bold as to want to start kissing so soon. Lev did seem like the type to rush into things but to do it so quickly... "It's...not that easy..." Lace replied, Robin was really bad at first. It was kind of like kissing a dog.

"Really? You have done it already?" Lev raised his eyebrows and gasped, squeezing Lace's hand. "How do I practice kissing, though? I don't want to give you a kiss you wouldn't like..."

Lace nodded his head, "I've....had one boyfriend before you.... He decided...that breaking up would be better than long distance..." They were still very close friends however which was nice, it felt strange to hear about Robing flirting with girls however.

"......You practice with.....your partner...."

"How rude...!" Lev clenched his fist, angered by Lace's words. How could someone break up with Lace? What an idiot...

"With...my partner? But...that's you," Lev was just stating the obvious. "A-Are you really okay with me practicing on you? I can try kissing my reflection in the mirror or something stupid like that!"

Lace didn't see it as rude, Robin was like that. He didn't want to miss Lace the way a lover would and never be able to touch him for the next six years.

"Robin....wasn't a good kisser....at first.....either...." Lace replied, but they both got better when they started to learn what the other liked.

"Maybe we should just focus on volleyball practice," Lev stuttered and scratched the nape of his neck. The idea of kissing Lace became even more stressful when he realized that the other boy was much more experienced.

"You....don't want....to kiss me....?" Lace asked, looking a little hurt. Did Lev not find him desirable anymore because he had one had another...? He looked dejected, was that not a desirable trait...?

"I do! I really do...but what if I'm terrible at it? Even more terrible than your previous boyfriend..." Lev murmured and looked away. He wasn't sure why that was bothering him so much.

"The kiss...doesn't....matter...if it's...good or bad..." He murmured softly before he gazed up at him, "If....it's from someone you love.... then...I'll...love it either way...." He replied as he rested his head on his shoulder as they stopped in front of Lace's door.

"Really? It doesn't matter?" Lev seemed to be rather surprised. Well, he didn't think of Lace as someone who would dump him after one horrible kiss, but he didn't want to give him a kiss like that either. "Let's start with kissing the cheeks, though!"

Lace nodded his head softly, why would he leave him because of a kiss? He leaved up to press a soft kiss to his cheek before unlocking his door and moving to enter the loft. "Do...you want to....come...in...?"

"It's late already..." Lev replied softly, looking down at the floor. He rarely paid attention to such things, though. "I think I should go back. And you probably want to rest, too..."

"You...can spend....the night...?" He offered shyly, maybe they could do things or watch TV together or do homework. Lace just wanted to spend some more time with Lev...

"The night?!" He yelled and quickly covered his mouth with both of his hands. "Y-Yeah, I guess I can!! Why not...right?" Lev stepped inside, grinning at him. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but he didn't want to refuse.

Lace looked surprised at his reaction, they had spent the night before and Lev was never so anxious and nervous. They weren't going to do anything strange. He closed the door behind Lev and sat down on the couch to watch some TV for a little while.

What if Lace wanted to do something after all? He was so inexperienced...and for the first time in his life he felt like a fool (even though he had done many stupid things before). Lev sat just next to Lace, smiling awkwardly.

"This show is pretty good!" Lev pointed out even before Lace could turn the TV on.

Lace quietly rested his head on Lev's shoulder, something they normally did all the time when Lace was tired. That was just the way they were, Lev even carried Lace home sometimes when he fell asleep during his practice.

"Mhm...."

Lev tried not to move too much when Lace had rested his head on his shoulder and even embraced him, "It's too late for game shows but we can always watch a movie or something?" Lev asked, looking at him.

Lace nodded his head, okay with any movie Lev would pick as long as Lace could stay close to him. He closed his eyes and enjoyed have a boyfriend again. He enjoyed being embraced and showered with affection and praise. He nuzzled him softly as he relaxed.

Lev blushed softly when Lace nuzzled him, even though it wasn't the first time he did that. He picked the movie that didn't look like a romantic comedy and relaxed against the couch.

...it still was a romantic comedy, though. Lev rolled his eyes and asked Lace whether he should change the channel.

Lace closed his eyes and quietly listened to the sound of the actors speaking. He murmured that he didn't mind watching anything as long as he was close to Lev. He was already starting to doze off, Lev's warm body was making him feel sleepy.

Lev wasn't really paying attention to the screen anyway as he was rather focused on Lace. He observed him as subtly as he could (which basically meant he was gawking at him while he was starting to doze off) and smiled shyly. Then, he lifted up his hand and stroked his hair affectionately.
